RIP Alexander McQueen

The death of Alexander McQueen has hit hard.

As I go through my GoogleReader and see all the posts made by fashion bloggers…it feels so surreal.

As I search up New York Fashion Week on Style.com, I see news of his death on the home page.

I don’t know what to say.

intycement

Again, I can’t say just how much I love my leather jacket.

I am eagerly anticipating the events that await me tomorrow! (And I sincerely hope that I don’t chicken out…though I’m sure the two of them will be there to encourage me. Haha.)

Yesterday was World Nutella Day, but I’m making Nutella cupcakes tomorrow to bring in on Monday. I decided that Red Velvet could wait until next week. Three day week next week! Last break until the end of the quarter. Anyway, I’m saving Red Velvet for that week. I want to try Blue Velvet the week after that though. Blue Velvet?! Yes. Weird, but interesting.

My skin has been dull and icky lately. I seriously need to get off my lazy ass and slap some Queen Helene on my face. Seriously now. Better yet, I’ll do it tomorrow. Foundation will suffice for now though. I’ve found my (so far) favorite foundation/application/technique/whatever. I love using a damp sponge to apply my Revlon ColorStay liquid foundation. It’s loveee. It’s not quite full coverage, but I like the effect that it has. The damp sponge method is ingenious.

Lastly, should I splurge on the Steve Madden Intyce boots? I tried them on at Nordstrom’s last night, and I loved the way they looked. As with most, if not all, Steve Maddens that I love, the price tag is pretty hefty. They are currently on sale (if it were not, I would most definitely not be looking into them right now) which makes it all the better for me. But still. I’ll try again next week when I have time to venture to the mall again.
